About the Author and Entrepreneur

Jasmine Davis is a native of Dallas, Texas, and holds a Master’s Degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Jasmine has extensive experience that lends itself to the education field. She is a registered trainer with the Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System and has trained both Early Childhood and Elementary school teachers. To add to Jasmine’s list of contributions in the education field, she manages an after-school program through her company, Jazzy’s Creative Center. This program helps at-risk youth bring learning, literacy, and fun together by creating a love for reading and encouraging families to read daily with their children at home. With over 12 years of experience in the world of education, Jasmine has executed her passion for educating and caring for Early learners. In 2020, she became a Certified Infant and Toddler Specialist to support infant and toddler teachers in the field. From that passion, Little Phinny’s Big Adventure was born, creating a storybook about a brave African American child on her adventurous journey home to reconnect with her mother.

In her free time, she provides training for childcare centers to help teachers become dynamic educators and build skills that foster success in the classroom. She also creates educational resources for parents to help facilitate fun learning activities at home.

When Jasmine is not immersed in activities related to her passion for education, she enjoys reading, shopping, and practicing self-care.
